i had some unwanted pauses in the SBC and i took quite long to think of a answer to a question. the examiner had to use the extra questions. I also don't know how to use the ARREST method for the questions (it is just very difficult to use the ARREST method for this SBC)

as for the reading aloud, I didnt read fluently as I thought I said the wrong word.

well due to the transparent protection thing the examiner cant hear what i said clearly. from the looks of the examiners, i can tell that i am going to get a low mark.

overall I would not be surprised if I got lesser marks then i expected.

Reasons for my predictions:

Reading Aloud: I feel that I was expressive and fluent, with little errors, but I got a bit nervous halfway through and sped up.

SBC: I used ARREST and elaborated clearly on my responses, but I think I did stutter (just a pinch), and my first response to the first question was "uh.." before I seriously answered.

I enjoyed yesterday's oral. I feel that my efficacy in English has improved by a lot. This oral exam was a way to determine my standards and where I could improve.

1) I am good at STEM and enjoy tinkering with items and am able to reuse items that are broken by fixing the item. However, whenever I am unable to do so, I try to get help from my parents or google about it to discover more about the engineering behind the item. Once, I saw a toy had broken and I picked it up to bring it home and fix it, and at first the engineering about it was complicated as the design was intricate and there was many parts, but with the help of my father, I was able to put it back and make it work. Students of my age are not able to understand the joy of fixing an item when something breaks as it becomes a habit to throw the item away. Perhaps, if their phone or electronic device breaks, they can go to a person to fix the item and learn more about it. I find engineering very helpful as I can build my own items and fix it without having to make a hole in my wallet.

2) I enjoy cooking as I can discover the tastes of different foods and be able to tweak the tastes to my liking. By cooking, I am also be able to learn more about different cultures food.

1) I am good at STEM and enjoy tinkering with items and am able to reuse items that are broken by fixing the item. However, whenever I am unable to do so, I try to get help from my parents or google about it to discover more about the engineering behind the item. Once, I saw a toy had broken and I picked it up to bring it home and fix it, and at first the engineering about it was complicated as the design was intricate and there was many parts, but with the help of my father, I was able to put it back and make it work. Students of my age are not able to understand the joy of fixing an item when something breaks as it becomes a habit to throw the item away. Perhaps, if their phone or electronic device breaks, they can go to a person to fix the item and learn more about it. I find engineering very helpful as I can build my own items and fix it without having to make a hole in my wallet.

2) I enjoy cooking as I can discover the tastes of different foods and be able to tweak the tastes to my liking. By cooking, I am also be able to learn more about different cultures food. Once when I was cooking with my mother I accidentally burnt my garlic butter but in the end, we managed to solve the problem and use the garlic butter. Cooking is something that can bring families together as a bonding time, but while cooking, we need to take into account the dietary needs of a person and their allergies before making the item to accommodate them. I feel this is one of my expert topic asI can really change the taste based on each persons taste buds as I have a good sense of taste and a good knowledge of spices.

3) I love to edit as by editing, I feel that I am taking a break from strenuous work and can unwind. Furthermore, I can also use this skill for making videos for birthdays or edit photos for a person or even make a film. I had attended a class on editing and how there are different angles you can take a video from and how to utilise it. After understanding the concepts, we had to make a film for ourselves, and it turned out pretty well! Editing is a everyday skill that people should learn in case they may need to utilise it. I feel that this is one of my expert topics as I can edit really well and even help others to make videos for some occasions.

4) I love to play football as by playing football, I can build a stronger bond with my friends and can learn about Harmony and teamwork. Moreover, playing football for me is an activity that I do to take a break. The first time I played an actual match was in my condominium with some upper secondary and Junior College students, and with my elder brother when I was just seven years old.
