         <description><![CDATA[<div>Summary: the setting is around 1950s, and the location is not clearly stated. Holden hated his current school, Prency prep school, and decided to go visit his old history teacher at his house, annoyed by how the teacher said he was a failure in school, he left. At his dormitory, he finds out his roommate went on a date with a girl he dated, Jane. Holden asks if he had tried to have sex with her. As Stradlater kept making fun of him, Holden decided to leave and go back home to Manhattan.. He took a train to Manhattan, and arrives.he gets on a cap, and was left at his hotel. He remembers a memory of Jane, and how he got to know her. Later that night he talked with the elevator operator, Maurice, convinced him to pay 5 dollars for a hooker he knows. Holden agreed but didn't let her. He payed her and Maurice showed up and said he also wanted money, as Holden disagreed with paying him, Maurice punched him and knocks him out, and steals his wallet. Quite drunk Holden walks next to the lagoon and decides to sneak into his apartment building and sneaks into his sister's room. Where she calls him “the Catcher in the Rye.” A person who catches children before they fall over a cliff. The next day he sends a note to his sister Phoebe and tells her, he is leaving for good and to meet him for lunchtime. She wants him to take her with him but he refuses. Knowing she was going to follow him, he takes her to a zoo and realizes from watching the animals, that you must fall in order to succeed.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
