First, as a group, post your 3 responses for SAQ Part 1. Please make one post for each task of SAQ Part 1 (total of 3 posts). Please include your group members names on all posts!! Then, individually respond to two different posts from two different groups with detail...for example: discuss what you agreed or disagreed with; how was your response related or unrelated to theirs; what information was included or missing that is noteworthy; etc.
Photo by Lewis Hine, caption: “Everybody works but… A common scene in the tenements. Father sits around.” The family informed him that with all the work they do together, they make $4 a week working until 9 p.m. each night. New York City, December 1911.

Mass production would give poor people more jobs, but the conditions were inhumane and brutal to work in because of the number of workers in the factory.

One major difference in how wealthy and poor people were affected by mass production can be seen in the changes in living standards for both classes. During this time, because of mass production and industrialization, the living standards for poor people had decreased, as they lived in slums, closely together, where fires, pollution and diseases were common. On the other hand, because of mass production the wealthy class’ living standards have increased as they are getting more goods from the working class.
