One is when Leon's father went back to Krakow and decided to take his chances with the Nazis in Krakow. Another Kiss of death is when his father insisted that the war wouldn't last more than a year and since he had a job they would be safe. Another thing I noticed was that they were all working very hard his brother David managed to become a plumber's helper and his sister became a housekeeper and Leon worked at a soda store where he put labels on the bottles and got a bottle of soda as payment. In the book there was a "Kiss of Death" where when dad predicted that the war was going end than less than a year but he was wrong and he could see that the germans had the advantage over Jews. First it was fun now it is just horror. I just feel so sad about how his brother Tsalig died. He would've survived when Schindler told him he would help him get out of the cattle trains but he declined the offer and said he would never leave his girlfriend. What a noble thing to do.
