Do I agree with the argument regarding musical element?

I agree with the argument that repetition is not necessarily annoying, especially in music. For example with the song "Four Organs", although I disliked what my ears were hearing, I didn't want to stop listening. I had an unusual need to keep listening in order to find out what happened next, whether it be more repetition or the end of the song. The reason for that was because no matter the outcome I was continually excepting them to be playing a trick on me and have a sudden change, one that never happened. So is music with repetition displeasing to the ears? It can be, it can even be annoying, but the point it serves to keep you entertained and interested in what you're listening to is very apparent and works extremely well.

The concept of repetition in Ke$ha's "We R Who We R"

Ke$ha's "We R Who We R", serves this concept very well, due to the fact that the backing never changes, no matter where you are in the song the continual electronic backing never stops. This song continues with catchy lyrics and a beat that we want to let go and dance to. In all honesty the song could go on for 8 whole minutes, or even have a second part and we would all still be dancing at the club without a second thought. Whether we notice it or not, that constant with the barely changing, if ever, hit of the drum creates a loop that doesn't need to end. Pair this with her repeating lyrics and high tempo and you have a song that very well could fit into something that could go on for an infinite amount of time.

Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" should be included as repetition

Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", should be included into the concept of repetition due to the fact that it's back track consists of a very similar musical set as Ke$ha's song. The song not only includes lyrics that have just enough meaning to matter, but repeat and could go on for as long as necessary with little thought by both the writers and listeners. This song however does include a little bit more in range and tempo, which helps hook your mind on the song. It takes a turn finally, for around 5 seconds in the middle, but then continues on it constant cycle of a simple cord progression, tempo keeping drum beat, and her own voice repeating, "Ohh Oh Oh Oh Ohhh". All these things combine to create another song that could have 10 minutes or 2 parts and you'd still sit there and listening waiting for another drop of tempo, or to see if anything will change, when in reality its just tricked your mind into wanting a conclusion that hits you faster than the realization that the song wasn't even that good, or that because of its repetition it is better.
