Explain and apply technology-based communication tools and strategies for a school site.

Analyze the site and district technology plans in relationship to the Single School Plan for Student Achievement.

Develop a plan for school-wide use of new technology.

Participate in the development of the school or district professional development plan.

Participate in staff development to learn the latest research in effective teaching, learning and management, equity and access and implement what you learned with grade level or department teachers.

Schedule time to read, study and plan to apply the research to promote effective teaching, learning and management, equity and access.

Evaluate, study, and compare Safe School Plans for the purpose of assuring that a site provides a safe, well-maintained and productive environment for learning.

Interview a board member about the role of the board in making policy.

Interview the superintendent or another district administrator about district policies

Go to the Ed Data website and analyze population and subgroup trends from your school or the State level to anticipate population changes over the next 10-12 years. 

Interview your site principal to determine how resources (human, time, money) are allocated to ensure their equitable use.

Review the school budget and describe how expenditures are determined and communicated (include principal, school site council).

Facilitate or participate in an IEP meeting.

Attend an English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) meeting at the school or a District Language Advisory Committee (DLAC) meeting.

Interview a district media or public information officer, and examine the district public relations policy.

Assist with community-centered activities.
