The Americans shows they benefit by how all the people protest and do marches all together and show they can fight together for rights they deserved.

After examining both civil rights movements and groups I can argue that the common theme present is people fighting for their rights. Both movements show that people will fight for what they think is right and will stand up for what they want. It also shows that civil rights are for everyone and it's not only for POC fighting for equality.

Brown Berets said the importance of the Browns stems from their significant role in the Chicano movement by advocating for civil rights, fighting police brutality and racism.

All of the organizations created a safe place for different cultures and communities. Some of the highlights are things like the Women's movement which helped Women find their place in society and allowed them to get equal opportunities as men. Another one being the Stonewall Incident which helped the LGBTQ+ community find their place in society protesting against the incident in the Stonewall inn. And in the context of social justice the Murder of Emmit Till created a movement to stop discrimination of black people that even non colored people joined in. All of these events helped change America into what it is today by allowing people to be free and giving everyone equal right. But some things haven't changed like how ICE is deporting Mexicans due to their skin colors, which could also mean they don't have paper and still the discrimination of black people. America although labeled as a country of freedom still suffers through discrimination of certain communities to this day.

The things that I have learned is about discrimination. The discrimination back then towards black people and how Mexicans are getting deported because of them being illegal or looking like they are illegal.

It also demonstrates how they would help their culture no matter the circumstance. That all benefited America because it ended up helping create a law that changed America very positively.

A common factor between the two movements I looked and and the movement I worked on is they all fought for equal rights for people in their community. I think this because during the woman rights movement they fought for equal rights for woman so they have the same opportunity as men. in the brown berets they did a similar thing fighting for civil rights for the Mexican American community. Another common link is between the stonewall incident and the brown berets is they both fought for rights and against police brutality.
