It showed me that sometimes you may go on an adventure that you aren't expecting. Even after I'm done with this series he has written I'm going to read the next. I find his books very interesting to read. The girl is Alex and her brother is Conner. Alex is very smart and works hard in school and is very responsible. While Conner isn't very responsible and gets in trouble a lot in school. One day when they get home they were reading a book that they got from their grandmother but when they open it they teleport into another world. 

     Once they get into this new world they question where they are and wonder around confused. After a little bit of traveling they look into the book that there grandmother gave them and realize that the only way they can get back to their family in the real world is to get the things to make up the wishing spell. To do this they have to find the most valuable things of the princess around the land of stories.

During this quest to find the object to make the wishing spell they go through different obstacles and meet the most amazing people that they thought was only part of fairy tales. After fighting and struggling to find the different objects they make the wishing spell they run into their grandmother and find out they she is Cinderellas fairy godmother.
