For my creative learning space, I decided to make a cozy reading nook. This process was more challenging than I had anticipated due to the space I had in my room already and the rearranging that went into creating the space. I have always wanted an area for reading and studying so this assignment was crucial to make my ideas come to life. I ensured it was by one of my windows to have natural reading light as well as a view of nature for inspiration for when I draw or paint in this space. I believe this space will boost my creativity and allow me to focus on course assignments that I will have throughout the quarter.

whenever i don't study at school, i'm usually at home on my bed and studying. other times, i take breaks and listening to songs. my bed is pretty big so i just wear my pajamas and study. when it comes to eating, i usually use it as my break and relax.

I added some of my squishmallows because they do provide me with back support when I sit on the couch. My study space is the guest room of my house. What I usually do when I study is I first light a candle in the room, to make it feel cozy and make the room smell nice. I also have to put on a form of classical music to help me focus The final thing I needed in my space was something to drink.

This is my area where I do everything! It’s a quiet place to work on homework and a spot to knit, craft, and use design software for my Cricut. To the left of this is my shelf that stores various craft supplies and learning tools. This is a familiar spot for me where I’ve always felt comfortable working on homework, crafting, and spending my time. It makes me happy!

The picture I am submitting is from years ago of me and my older sister baking. There is many more pictures of me baking because as I said in class it is my dream to own a bakery. Baking is what I love to do and where feel my happiest. I get to be creative and create whatever cake design or cupcake or cookie I want to. I bake when I need to relax after being stressed. It calms me down and is kind of like a therapy to me. Baking helps me clear my head so I am better able to think. It helps me do my homework more relaxed which I usually do while the cake is baking or cooling. When I am struggling with my homework or I am stressed, it helps me destress and start on my homework again.

I made a learning space in a corner in my room. I love reading, music, and coffee so I wanted to include all of those aspects into my space. I also wanted it to be by a window because I love natural lighting but I also added string lights for when the sun sets. This space definitely brings me peace and I can easily relax here.

I wanted to create a study space that felt comfortable and held all my favorite things. So, I created a dream space that I would like in my home. I included my plants, candles, music, and yarn for my future creative projects. I also included my cats, because they play a huge role in maintaining a positive mood. Additionally, I decided to include pictures of the people that I care about. I specifically did not include them physically in the space because I work best when I am alone with no distractions. This does not negate their importance, because if I am not feeling motivated, I can look up at the wall and see them smiling down at me.

I made a model of what my ideal classroom mirrors my elementary through high school class rooms and where I fostered my motivation for learning. Desks are lay out for table group discussion and inter group discussion as well. The teacher was also able to address the class. There were usually tables for labs or hands on activities

Wind down area
1. I chose materials I remember interacting with and utilizing in classroom spaces when working on steam activities. The space I chose was really the only open and available space I was able to utilize in my household. The design process was to try to maintain a comfortable space that was engaging. Below the tv area by the candle there are vinyls and various books.
2. I designed the area by myself but my cat did join on and off at various times throughout the process.
3. I believe that elementary students would not only enjoy having their thoughts and ideas being brought to these spaces but that they have the potential to help design the space as a whole.

I chose to create a space inspired by the bunk bed forts I used to build when I was younger. I would build a fort so I could have my own space, since I always shared a room. For my creative learning space, I made a fort with blankets, pillows, flashlights and a laptop. I had a little help designing the fort with my little brother. We decided to add the writing tablet and a small bowl of cheetos for snack. The goal was to recreate a space that I enjoyed spending time in but also a space that I could feel comfortable and work on my laptop.

My boyfriend was kind enough to help me produce this space by hanging the backdrop to bring more relaxation to the space. For my creative learning space, I usually like to have my laptop set up by the sliding door in my house. It's the part of my house that receives the most sun. I also like to bird watch. It is something I have always loved to do. I sometimes will also do my work outside when the weather permits it. I love plants and I usually have my plants all around me in my office room. I have to be in a room that has the most sunshine!

I created a cozy little reading, art nook using blankets and cushions using chairs from my kitchen to set up the blankets so it was like a little fort. I liked this little light in their too to make a more peaceful ambience.

I am very lazy, and if I wanted to take a very authentic picture I wouldn't be able to in this current date (I have to take a flight), so this is akin to a stock image for a representation. I spent a lot of time just imagining how it would look like and what its purpose would be. Being in the middle of nature is very relaxing to me, because my high school was extremely close to the local, mostly untouched woods. Having an open wall would be nice to take in refreshing air during a creative process or a class procession. There's not much going on around you, so there's very little distraction too. It's also really good to just immediately sleep in.

This was a workspace that I already was already using! Paper, pencils, paints, clay, and a doll that I am in the process of making, all stacked on a green grid mat! You can see some sketches that I did a while ago up in the top right, and the stacks of artbooks and reference books on the table next to it. There's also my saxophone and other instruments in the corner for when I need to take a break from working on a project.

This space is a corner in my house that I use to either read, or do homework on my laptop. It’s a cozy corner and near the fireplace. Right now, it is still decorated with Christmas decorations such as Santa and the Elf. It’s a very comfortable chair and makes me feel at peace.

In my ideal learning space, I would be on my bed with a cozy blanket. I have fairy lights on my wall and have a candle lit, and my plush bear, just for that cozy aesthetic. I have my laptop beside me so I can do homework and a water bottle so I can keep myself hydrated. When I need a break from homework, I complete a page out of my sudoku book. I love sudoku.
