You also made the lesson fun by introducing a Latino band and playing their music while students filled in Spanish words to their song. You've created a respectful and engaged learning community! An instructional strategy I learned by observing Carlota was a Close Reading strategy in a small group setting where a group of students read a specific section of an article and then share their findings and understanding with their peers. It was a great observation because Mrs. Fernandez motivated the students to engage in the content and to encourage students to use their previous knowledge to share with their friends. It was a pleasure to be in her class!

Carla, I observed a super interesting topic to talk about and learn by practicing. Your ideas for the role play in the peer pressure situation are in the real life of every teenager. Students were very enthusiastic about the learning experience as they were participating right away.
