Once the students learn the different types of punctuation, they will read this book for an example.  Since this book has a lot of explanatory sentences, the students will be able to see when it is appropriate to use this punctuation. </div>]]></description>

This makes the tree happy.  The tree and the boy stay in contact until the boy is very old.  <br>Interdisciplinary Use- <br>Language Arts- Students will use the lesson of giving to others and sharing to write their own story.  Students will write about a time in their life when either they shared with someone or when someone shared with them.  Students should discuss how this made them feel. </div>]]></description>

It rained for forty days and nights.  The ark came to dray land, and Noah and his family built their lives there with God as the center. <br>Interdisciplinary Use- <br>Math- To use this book in a creative way, I would use this to reinforce how to count by twos. After reading the book, the students will go back through and count each animal mentioned by two and see how many animals were there all together </div>]]></description>

This book portrays a picture that stealing is not bad if he doesn't get caught, but the students need to learn that stealing is always bad. After learning about how words rhyme, the students will partner up and pick out the pairs of words that rhyme in the book.  They will briefly discuss what causes each pair to rhyme. </div>]]></description>

One night he dresses like a wolf and gets into trouble, so he is sent to bed without dinner. A forest appears in his room, and a boat comes to take him to the land where the wild things are. He becomes king and fixes all of the wild things' problems. After the monsters go to bed, Max returns home.<br>Interdisciplinary Use-&nbsp;<br>Students will write two lists.  The first list will be all the way a student should properly behave.  The second list is of the ways that students should not behave.  The students will take both lists and write a comparing and contrasting essay on how students should behave. </div>]]></description>

At the end, one of the lady's great great granddaughters comes across the house and arranges for it to be moved out into the country where the lady would have wanted it.&nbsp;<br>Interdisciplinary Use-<br>Social Studies- Students will learn the differences between rural and urban areas.  They will then be given a worksheet where the have to match which objects belong in which area.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>By- Faith McNulty&nbsp;<br>Genre- Science Fiction<br>reading Level- Pre-K-3<br>Summary- Thus book is similar to a survival guide.&nbsp; It tells about the journey on the way to the moon.&nbsp; It describes what an astronaut eats and how they take care of themselves on the way to the moon.&nbsp; It then explains how gravity works once on the moon, and how they have to walk to find the supplies the need.&nbsp; The most important part is when they describe how to get back home. This book gives a detailed explanation on how a space mission really goes.&nbsp; Interdisciplinary Use-&nbsp;<br>Science- The students will learn about how gravity affects us on the Earth.  They will also learn the difference between gravity on the Earth and the moon. </div>]]></description>
