The approaches are Confronting Unfamiliar Issues, Using Clustering to Discover Ideas, Approaching an Issue (or an Assignment), and Prompting Yourself: Classical Topics and Invention. You must choose at least one of the approaches listed, but you may also identify another one, even one that may not be listed here. Also, respond to your classmates and draw connections following the guidelines below.
  1. Make at least 1 new note by clicking the plus (+) at the bottom right of the screen.  Take advantage of the note tools to make a video or audio comment, add a gif, make a link, or more! 
  2. Draw at least 1 connection by hovering over the note, clicking the three dots for "more action," then "connect to a post." (If you are one of the first to post, you may need to return to the discussion later.)
  3. Respond to at least 1 of your peers (but hopefully more!) and let them know if you have any ideas for how to narrow or focus the topic -- or ask them any questions that could prompt their critical thinking of the topic. Reply by clicking the comment balloon at the bottom right of the post.
  • If a topic is REALLY interesting, "upvote" it by clicking the thumbs up at the bottom left.
