I struggle with being able to see the metalanguage and the language features. And then translate that into an essay or short answer response. The many different conventions is very confusing and I struggle greatly with this.  
Vocabulary: I also struggle with finding the right word to use in my texts. I have been marked down previously due to a limited vocabulary. Although I have a wide knowledge of the words, it is the translating them to a text that is my downfall.   
 
Strength: I feel very confident with composing. I am able to create many short stories as long as I have a good starting point. However without a strong base my text lacks.
