  • If the information is a constant variable that will repeat itself, then that information should be stored because the information will not change and therefore, the computer knows that information would be necessary for the future. For example, for the outfit picker, your favorite color should be stored since that will most likely be a constant variable for a long period of time, same with the seasons, which are in a cycle.


    1. If the information is necessary for later use, then that information should be stored because it has to be accessible later. For example, a list of contacts on a phone should be stored so it can be kept to call people later. 

    1. If the information is not related to the purpose of the app then that information shouldn’t be stored because it wouldn’t be necessary and just waste storage. For example, the weather should not be stored in the choose a kid movie app since the weather won’t impact the movie you choose typically.

  • In this information, extra content/context should not be stored because it might make something look large then it has to be. This might jumble the info and might make it have the same outcome. If you're going to do extra content it would need to be separate from what the site is trying to do. For example, if you add a light up feature on your phone it would have a bar to move around with light and dark. And there was another feature that gives you a numbered way to do it. There should be only one way to do it. That's why the numbered should not be stored.


    1. In this information, a main function should be stored because it helps disguise it from other apps. With your main function you can branch it out to make it bigger. This will help you with your identity. If this doesn't fill the purpose then there would be no reason to buy the app. For example, if you had a temperature sensor on your phone it should sense the temperature on your phone. It can branch off on what temperature it's going to be tomorrow and other stuff like that.
