Tenzin Gyatso is the current Dalai Lama, and he resolves many religious and cultural issues with the Chinese.

He is a leader because he is:

If a situation came, she would find a solution to help them in some way. Mother Teresa died on September 5, 1997, at the age of 87. Nelson Mandela was a south African anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist, who served as President of south Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the country's first black head of state and the first elected in a fully representative democratic election. His government focused on dismantling the legacy of apartheid by tackling institutionalized racism and fostering racial reconciliation. Ideologically an African nationalist and socialist, he served as president of the African National Congress (ANC) party from 1991 to 1997.

Why is this Person a Leader?
Nelson Mandela was an amazing leader because of his dedication, inspiration, and his vision of change. He was one of the leaders to put an end to segregation/apartheid rule of Africa and the first black president of the country. As president, his main goal was to unify Africa. He made sure that everyone clearly knew and understood his goal of equality, and took all the steps possible in order to reach that goal. He encouraged the actions of others, and motivated others towards acceptance of people that are different. From integrating his own staff, to the desire for the rest of Africa to also get along with people of a different race, Nelson Mandela made sure he accomplished his goal as much as possible. So basically he modeled the way, inspired a shared vision, enabled others to act, challenged the process, and encouraged the heart, which are all 5 parts of leadership. All these qualities, and his peaceful tactics for dealing with the issue, are some of the many reasons why Nelson Mandela was such a great leader.

He showed the world what forgiveness looks like.

Anne Frank is a leader because she shows leadership characteristics. She kept organized when under distress, we know this because in hard times she managed to keep a detailed diary. With Anne Frank's diary it helped show the world the horrors from a little girl's perspective.

Jack is a leader because he is a Democratic leader, and wanted to make change within the his office. He made changes because he saw the reality of what was happening in the work place, and knew change was a good thing instead of a bad thing.
