One reason why I think that this saying is true is because, whoever you surround yourself with, you will eventually start to do what they do and have their tendencies.  For example if you surround yourself with people who dont talk and do their work, you will be quiet and do your work too because they are doing it.  If you re with people who want to do good and have goals, their ideas and thoughts would spread on to you and you will begin to make your own goals and do good on your own.  If you surround yourself with people who want to go out and party then you will eventually do it to and be just like them.  This saying are true  we are who we hang out with and our friends can affect the decisions that we make  and condition who we will be.
