In this conflict, the two-legs are pushing the cats out of their territorys, so they can make a new thunderpath. The cats are trying to fight for their homes, but in the end one will have to leave. To resolve this conflict, the cats end up leaving to find new homes. The cats leave because the two-leg monsters chased off all the prey. The cats are starving! So they leave, 4 clans leave as 1.

 Shadowclan thinks they will be just fine without the other clans, so does riverclan. Once all 4 clans agree to leave the forest, some cats need help. On page 236, Erin Hunter explains "...who was desperately trying to free himself from the mud. She plunged her teeth into his scruff to haul him out(...)'Thanks!'"(Hunter, 236). Without Squirrelpaws help the apprentice would have been crushed by a two-leg monster(Truck).  Another example is when shadowclan camp was being destroyed by two-legs and the 3 other clans helped them. On page 181-182, Hunter decribes ""Sandstorm, take Leafpaw and the rest of your patrol and get the kits and queens out,' he ordered. 'Mousefur, take Tornear and Crowpaw with your patrol and find the elders.'"(Hunter, 181-182). If you love cats so much that you can't bear to see them hurt, I wouldn't recommend this book for you. Sometimes the cats get hurt or die, but if you can focus on the good instead of the bad.
