MLK was a baptistminister and activist who fought for equal civil rights for black people in America up until his assasination. 

i admire MLK because his values resonates with a saying that i strongly believe and live by; silence in the place of injustice means you have chosen the side of the oppressor. He lived a life of leadership pushing for what he believed until he literally couldn't.

The Green Belt Movement was a grass-roots movement that aimed to reduce poverty and the consequences of environmental degradation that rural communities were facing and empowered women to work together to plant trees and seedlings and collect rainwater etc to help their communities. I admire her as she was the first female professor in Kenya and the first female scholar from East and Central Africa to get a doctorate in 1971. Not only was she extremely intelligent she made sure to take what she had learnt to improve the lives of others. She helped to educate others and make them realise that their leaders were failing them and that by not working for the common good, they were sabotaging themselves. She was a pro-democracy activist, was strong willed and confident in her mission and faced a lot of opposition and that never stopped her from trying to do what was right.
