The viewpoint of the author in the first passage was that the fight for women's rights at the Seneca falls convention a waste of time and unnecessary. The author said that women already have jobs and that they should just stick to those jobs instead of trying to rewrite important american documents. The second author is an advocate for women's rights and calls out the first author by saying that there is no proof that the convention was a waste of time and that the first author was just making up an argument. The second author views the convention as very important. Overall, the two passages are complete opposites.
