Rising Action- Coyotito, knocked over a scorpion and got stung by it, so his parents Kino and Juana brought him to the doctor to be treated. Well, the doctor didn't want anything to do with their poor selves. So Kino went pearl diving for pearls, and he found "the pearl of this world." A set of pearl dealers come to Kino's town ready to take it from him. Out of lying to Kino, trying to devalue the pearl, and even trying to steal it Kino snaps and says," I'm a man." After Kino and Juana went back home, Juana got fed up with the evil pearl. So she went to the ocean the next morning to throw away the pearl. Vanquishing the evil it held, but then Kino came and assaulted her and inserted his dominance. As they walked by across the beach he was attacked.
Climax- As Kino and the shadow man fought. It ended in a quick k.o for he shadow men. Kino was soon healed by  Juana. And the shadow man was dead. As Juana, and Kino walked back to their house. They went inside and decided o go back to sleep. But Kino woke up to the house burning does. He got Juana and Coyotito out of the house and some belongings. They went to Juan Tomas' house and hid in their.

Falling Action- Kino and Juana decide they are gonna go to the capital to sell the pearl. So after Juan Tomas makes a distraction, Kino, Juana, and Coyotito run off to his fathers family canoe. But they decide to sleep in the jungle that night. But lurking, are trackers looking for Kino and his family. Kino then woke up alarmingly. Sensing the trackers he goes to ambush them. Well, Coyotito, making a noise resembling of a little coyote whined loudly in the midnight silence. But one of the trackers shot in the area of where the cry was. Hitting, and killing Coyotito.
