They describe Between Companies and Government Debt capital marketing (DCM), this shows how public investors are dealing debt securities into bonds with public.
An issue they explain about going public for any company is a major issue and how they are dealing with increasing business from small scale to large scale to increase their interest in investors and to decide to select the board of director to run their business at the right moment. As soon as the investment goes on the potential of growth likely to be high. So in this video these are the main types like a equity and debt offering by the bank marketing.

During the 2007/2008 financial crisis many banks and institutions around the world were bailed out by their respective governments. While the Canadian banks had no need for a bailout, as they were not failing. From 2008-2018 Canada's banks were ranked among the soundest banks in the world by the World Economic Forum. While Canadian banks are very unlikely to fail, they created "recovery and resolution plans", which would help the banks recover from from financial distress and they would adhere to an orderly resolution if needed. After the global economic crisis (07/08) many rules were put it and even though the rules are not enforced internationally, the domestic regulators can decide whether or not to enforce the rules. Financial markets are globally integrated so the aim is to implement these changes to better all the economies globally. I found that adhering to these rules would benefit many economies globally.

In the 11th Century Italy was the center of trading in Europe. Merchants from across Europe came to Italy to buy and sell goods. There problem was too many currencies (coins) to keep up with. So they had some people who would exchange coins for them to get the desired coins. Which then turned into banks where people could get credit to buy and sell goods.

Video #4 Offshore Bank Accounts

Offshore banks are banks that allow you to diversify your options on where to put your money. A study was done after the global recession in 07/08 which said many banks around the globe did not fail. These banks allow you to make investments in those countries and it also helps in benefiting those countries. You can put money in an American bank account and not be an American citizen and earn interest on that money and not have to report it to the country you reside in. If you like to invest globally these accounts are for you. For example if you would want to purchase an apartment in Egypt, a bank in Dubai would be easier to make the purchase rather than a bank in Canada. I chose this video because it interested me in international investing that it would be easier to invest in other countries while using the banks in their countries. The interest rates in some countries are much higher than Canada. So if you are willing to take the risk that the economy in that certain country will be stable, then you can capitalize on the higher interest rates.

1. Something that surprised me the most is that offshore banking. The fact that some countries can give you much higher interest rates for keeping your money there compared to here at home in Canada. I learned the financial crisis and how they betrayed their clients to make profit. Another thing is getting currency from bank while travelling. When travelling one needs the currencies of different countries.

2. Learning about Global Banking will come into relevance to me when I am able to invest more heavily so that I can invest in other countries and take advantage of higher interest rates and growing economies.

3. I think the most important thing to pass on is to be wary of the global marketplace. As there is a lot of money to be made out there, in many ways. It’s also important to be informed of the global economy as to see when to cash out and when to invest.
