A lot of the communities have different rules, which forces people to leave. People thought these rules to be unreasonable and unnecessary. An example of one of these rules is; citizens in the community were forced to harm animals for unknown reasons.

After elders passed away, younger members were forced to do much of the dirty work and felt as if they were losing their rights.

People may also not want to live in such a small and controlled environment.

Utopian societies must be precise and organised. Expenses are covered for everyone in the society in order to display equality among citizens. People don't get a say in majority of how they live, and they're overruled by one team making all the decisions. Also, everyone is considered and equal dispite this fact.

We wouldn't like to live in a Utopian society. Although they seem like "perfect" places, there are a lot of basic human rights we are forced to give up, such as freedom of speech. As a group, we recognize that our freedom of speech is an important aspect in our daily lives. We we wouldn't want to give up the rights to how we are able to think and speak because it's important to us.

Why Utopian societies failed.

1) In Utopian Societies failed because there was a lot of pressure on self sustainability. People felt like they couldn't depend on anyone else and were taught that they should only depend on themselves.

2) in a utopian society you are very close with people who are around you, so there is obviously going to be arguments and disagreements. Especially with the teenagers and younger adults. This creates drama which leads to some un-wanted problems in these communities.

3) Some people struggle to or don't want to do the required labor. If someone is injured they would still be required to do their labor.

4) Everything is done within the community and there is no outside help. There is also usually no hospitals around because these communities tend to be in forests or very spacious areas. Hospitals and Grocery stores are usually pretty far so something like a broken are would be quite a while away so the drive would be long. You also have to share vechicles which would be a struggle.

Utopian societies are aiming to make a society that is what they define perfect, but the hardship that is met is that everyone has a different definition of perfect. We can’t force people against their will to change their perspective of an Utopia. Most utopian societies take people who have the same idea of a Utopia. When people join a Utopian society and find that this was not what they were hoping for, it is decided that they will not be able to dwell in their community for long. Also, if we look at the children who are born into Utopian societies, they might find the outside world more interesting. As more and more young people leave communities, the community does not have enough people to run the community.

what makes a utopian community successful is...

1) Communication. Without communication it would be very hard for someone to state there opinion which could cause an uprising and ,any problems in the community. These communities usually have a lot communication between civilians and their leaders.

2) Collaboration. Most people work is spread evenly and most jobs are not done alone. The collaboration helps them work better with communication, This makes the community a better place

3) A positive is these communities self sufficiency. Children in these communities learn how to work and get jobs done at young ages so they are not very dependent on parents.

4) There is a lot of space in these communities. Which means they have more land to sell and grow foods for themselves and communities. This makes space for the people living there.

If our group had to choose to move into a Utopian society, we would choose the New Songdo City, located in South Korea. The main reason that our group chose this city is due to amount of freedom the residents have. The city itself almost is exactly like all others, except for the fact that it is quieter in social issues. Most students attend international schools and follow different education systems than the rest of South Korea. We admired that the city was different from others in the way that it still allowed to residents to express themselves. Everyone was still able to follow the path that they wanted.

Utopian societies have to be very careful about who they let into their communities. In order to have a smooth running society, they need to be sure that the people who will live with them will have be content in their community. If they are sure that the people who they let into their community will be happy, then they know that they will follow the rules and their roles. The community has to make sure to take care of the residents. If people know that they are being taken care of, they will feel safe and comfortable in the community. Even though we think that it is close to impossible to make a perfect Utopian society, we find that if people take these factors into consideration, it will create a more successful one.

We would not live in a Utopian community because we would feel way to close to people or the feeling of being controlled. We believe some of the rules in this communities are very weird , strange or unecessary. Most people like to see different people every day I think it would be annoying to see the same faces every day
