Nazi Invasion of Poland - 1939

In 1939 Germany signed a non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union which meant to keep Britain from entering a war. They agree to split Poland among themselves but that didn't end up happening. Germany invaded Poland and Germany quickly rose to victory. This led to Britain and France declaring war on Germany and, marking the beginning of a larger conflict.

Germany breaks non-aggression pact & invades the Soviet Union. The soviet Union doesn't like this very much and they put up resistance for Germany. Because of the Soviet Union's harsh weather conditions and vast territory it caused the failure of Germany. Operation Barbarossa marked a critical turning point in the war, as it led to a prolonged and brutal conflict on the Eastern Front and shattered any hopes of a German victory on the Eastern front.

Stalingrad - from August 23, 1942, to February 2, 1943.
