He gave valid points, communication is how we share important information with each other and arts can help us express it in various other ways. he also was able to quickly put down any of the arguments for math and science and convey it all using charisma.

the biggest problem i had with the language side was that all their arguments were not really strong. it seemed like his only arguments were counter arguments. when math stated why he believed math was better, the counter was just that communication propelled math and science which doesn't actually prove that its more important, its just a stalling tactic

I think that English and Arts won because the arguments that the person gave were more convincing and had some emotion and facts, while on the other hand, the Science and Math guy spoke in more just facts and kept going to the single topic of it saving lives, which I thought was bland. Also it was fun watching the person for English and Arts basically roast the other guy. Overall, they were both evenly convincing, except the guy from English and Arts was more organized and goofy.

Most of the points they made were just saying that without art and english math and science wouldn't have progressed as much.
