* IAT Test was odd to me

* Catching self thinking - or associating race/gender instead of another human being...so prevalent in our thinking and speaking.

* I realized that there are a lot of microaggressions in my department that impact the work atmosphere.

* I was aware that statements like "you're so articulate" could be considered microaggressions, but it hadn't fully hit me how much even those "positive" comments could weigh on students until reading the Wood/Harris paper.

* Statistics are startling; #'s began to frighten/fascinate me. School to prison pipeline.
* Research on good ways of responding, or ways different groups address/think about microaggressions. Ex: Struggling with math, send to Math tutoring centers. Would like to be able to say "if you're struggling with...."

*might be interesting to look into micro-invalidations against women (lot of areas in a non-traditional line of employment) and how to address them.

*Maybe tell your students about the Equity Center on Instagram and look at who they follow - those online communities cross-reference each other.
