I can also show them the difference between two posts, and tell them what is wrong with one and why the other one is correct. Letting them know that inappropriate behavior online will never go away and that it will follow them for the rest of their life will be key points I will make. Therefore this activity will help build their knowledge about why things are important and relevant and answer the question "why" which majority of children love to ask, and also see things from another perspective and or side of the story. I can best teach this standard to students by implementing the gradual release teaching method. I can begin by talking to my students about the importance of credibility and relevance when searching the internet for articles, data, and other types of information. As I have this discussion with my class, I can compare examples of various internet articles, videos, etc. that illustrate quality information and relevance to the topic I am researching versus examples that do not illustrate this criteria. In doing this in front of the class, I will able to point out specific items in each resource that do or do not make the resource credible or relevant. For example, if I am researching statistics on the spread of the flu in the United States, I would show my students that the information in an article written 20 years ago would not be as relevant as an article written one month ago about current flu trends. After walking through examples with my class, I can gradually release my students to work in small groups. I can give each group a topic and ask them to find five credible and relevant sources along with two sources that are not credible or relevant in regard to the topic, asking them to explain why they categorize the sources the way they do. They will present their solution over zoom, webex, or another secure platform I have approved. By getting the chance to work with their community allows my students to build the professional skills they can use in the workplace.

For the students to be able to use the platforms and tools, they will be able to create and communicate in ways they had not been able to, which is important for todays world. Once using the tools, the students can learn in ways that they can learn easier by than the with ordinary strategies. Students can take their work and make different ways to show what they know about something which can help them remember something more. I think it is important for students to be able to learn in ways that they are able to, so for them to be able to make things digital is important.

I feel that I could incorporate this standard into a lesson for my students by presenting the information with a real-world example/scenario. This standard promotes digital integrity; however, integrity is a quality that is essential to success as a student and beyond. In my lesson, I would explain the importance of being respectful of work that does not belong to the student and stress the importance of not presenting it as his or her own work. It is also imperative that students are made aware of proper citation procedures for when they do use other people's work within their own. Everything they do in their classroom is seen through this email and teachers can see exactly what they do.
