How and when can I use these Auslan Emotions posters?

You can use these during group times to teach students about Auslan and how to sign our emotions. You can also place these as provocations with your experience or in the room. You show the children the emotion and follow the direction to teach the Auslan sign.

This book explores children and their emotions. It is illustrated by both an illustrator and an Auslan illustrator and corresponds with the story for all to join in using Auslan.

When to use this book?
Use this book during the group time. Use the dialogic reading approach to ask open ended questions about emotions - When is a time you felt happy? What did you feel inside? How did you show you were happy?
You would have this book in the library shelf for children to access after the group time. You can also use it as a provocation for future learning experiences that stem from this learning experience
