The book "Animal Farm" by George Orwell is an allegory novel about a farm full of animals overthrowing the power of the farmer, Mr. Jones that owns Manor Farm. An old boar on the farm named Old Major tells the other animals to from then on refer to all humans as enemies. After Old Major dies, two pigs named Napoleon and Snowball take charge and become the leaders. Soon after this, the Rebellion began. During the Rebellion, the goal of the animals was to drive Mr. Jones off the farm and replace the name Manor Farm with "Animal Farm". The animals begin to learn to read and write and take position in jobs that were usually done by humans. Many animals that were thought to be comrades, changed and became enemies of the farm. Over time the rules and leadership become stricter, and the work becomes greater and harder.

There is only one person left standing and that person seems to stand out from the rest because of their color. This image relates to a person with a lot of power because the person standing seems to represent that they are the strongest and are the last to fall. In Animal Farm, this figure would represent Napoleon because he takes charge of the farm and becomes the leader who make up all of the rules.

This image shows a king chess piece. In the game of chess, the king is the most important piece. In order to win the game, your king has to be obtained by the other player. This image relates to a person that has a lot of power as well because the king piece in chess is superior to the rest of the pieces. The king is the tallest piece which can represent strength, and the king has more power than any other piece. In Animal Farm, this image would relate to Napoleon the most because he rises high above everyone else, puts himself first, and sets the standards for all of the other animals to follow.

A modern day, non-fiction example that relates to the book Animal Farm is how the dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un uses power and fear tactics to sustain his country. By using these tactics, he is able to intimidate and pressure other countries into giving in to his demands and obeying them. These methods tend to remind other countries of North Korea's power and also the power of their leader. Missile launching plays a big role in intimidating other nations. North Korea is known for launching missiles as well as testing them. Because North Korea is so notorious for their missiles, other countries are often frightened at the fact that the missiles could potentially be launched towards them. This also concludes why when Kim asks for something, he gets it.

The elements of fear and power play a major part in the book Animal Farm, as well as in real life. In the book, Napoleon has the most power out of all the animals on the farm. He uses fear to enforce rules by reminding the animals that if his demands aren't obeyed, Mr. Jones would come back. He says this because he knows that was something that none of them would want to happen. Therefore, that is why everyone cooperated and listened to him when he told them to do something. Napoleon was powerful, but he was a little too demanding and harsh sometimes with some of his rules. A comparison that is similar to this situation is how Kim Jong-un also uses fear and power methods to get what he wants. This dictator proposes possible threats in order for other nations to give in to his desires. The threats vary from missile launching to starting war. In the end, these methods are solely used for the purpose of desire and to scare other people into obeying orders and commands that are expressed.
