I always listen to this song in the car right before I go to the gym and when I am walking on the treadmill. The tempo makes it the perfect song to strut to while walking on the treadmill. We had selected this piece as the lyrical portion of an audition. It was not necessarily difficult in the sense that it did not require much technical skill, but it was extremely emotional. This piece is used during funeral marches. The first section of the piece conveys sorrow, but it slowly transitions to celebrating the life this person lived. I think the change in emotions and having to convey that was the most difficult part of playing this piece. The song is about a very deep relationship between two people. It reminds me of the friendships that I have. I went to watch Post Malone perform at a music festival in 2018. He performed Feeling Whitney as his closing song, and ever since then, I have loved listening to it. Every time I listen to it, it brings me back to the music festival where everyone was singing along with arms wrapped around each other. I am so close to my mom, dad, and brother. We always rely on each other for support. I always go to them to tell me how it is the same way that many go to their friends to do the same. The bond that we have is incomparable. I cannot imagine how I would live without them.
