We want a communist government, because on Earth it may not translate well but on a different planet with harsh living conditions. If everyone gets the fair share if they all work, they will not be allowed to work more or less than assigned, therefore being actually fair. and the name of the government on our Mars colony will be the galactic senate

We would pick a Democratic-Republic because we like how our government is were we can vote for someone and reside who is our leader but we could make it a requirement that whatever someone says when running, has to be done if they are elected.
