Social change, is defined as “The transformation of culture and social institutions over time.” (Macionis, p. 526) The Iphone has transformed how people stay connected. With the new advances in apples technology people are now able to have a handheld computer, high quality camera, and cell phone all in one tiny device.

Which many people thought they would never see but, as a society we are moving towards a new diverse ways of thinking.

Instead he is adding more financial pressure to the man who clearly looks like he is already struggling with rent and the cost of living on a low wage job. Which reflects back to how our society is built on making the rich richer and the poor keeps on getting poorer.

However, “postmodern critics argue that science has failed to solve many old problems (such as poor health) and even created new problems (such as pollution and global warming).” (Macionis, p. 546) The image shows that technological advances like cars or mass producing factors have brought problems that are affecting our environment.

Therefore raising living standards and steering away from a time when people faced food insecurity due to the seasons affecting crops.
