Afterward, we brainstormed why Partnerships are so important to the Global Goals. We came to the conclusion that no country or person would be able to achieve these goals alone, which is why it is so important for people all over the world to come together to reach these goals.

Here, we were able to introduce that healthy can look different ways and it's important to take care of ourselves.

P1-P2 pupils also created their own fun germ picture!

To celebrate this, we created our very own Elmer the Patchwork Elephant to display proudly in school!

We thoroughly enjoyed reading the story and exploring its themes. We also played engaging games that allowed us to "speak for the trees," just like the Lorax does in the book!

The story lead us to learn about different animals and their habitats. The Barbaloots introduced us to the concept of endangered species and why some animals are at risk.

As a fun final activity, the children created their own inventions (inspired by the Super Axe Hacker) that could help protect the environment!

P1/2 designed their own odd socks for anti-bullying day after a brilliant discussion about how we can make sure no one ever feels left out in school.

Between 2019 and 2024, Berwickshire Swap has held 80 swaps across the Scottish Borders, saving 10,000 children's items from going to landfill and helping to provide clothing for around 5,000 children.
