I also found it really interesting how he earth has evolved over time from a hot toxic giant liquid rock to a actually livable world full with nature. It was also AMAZING how all the water in the oceans are millions of years old.

Theia and Earth collide making both young planets turn into liquids. Theia's gravity is distorting earths surface. The rubble turns into a red hot ring which is 3,000 kilometres wide circles the earth. I cant believe that meteors have water in then that is now the ocean which is millions of years old.

They carry:

-Chemicals which together to create life
-Bacteria (can turn sunlight into food) which creates... Sugar (glucose)

I had not known that meteorites created the water on earth, and when the meteorites crashed into the ocean they let off minerals that, when combined with a hot liquid from the oceans floor they generated bacteria which is one of the earliest forms of life. Over millions of years these bacteria meshed together to create stromatolites which produced oxygen making us all be able to breathe.

the young Earth started as a few million pieces of rocks but as the rocks collided due to the suns gravity, they formed the earth after 500 million years, Earth started to cool and the days were only 6 hours long, due to it spinning fast the earth changed and just outside of the earth was the moon a small ball of molten lava and rocks. then after a few hundred years when more meteors hit the earth they contained small amounts of water which eventually grew to be big puddles. then volcanoes erupted and caused future volcanic islands.

I learned about how the continents began to form, and how the process began; The Earth's core gets so hot, that it begins to move tectonic plates around, islands are colliding, resulting in Rodinia, the supercontinent. In the water surrounding Rodinia, Stramatolites have been generating oxygen and pumping it into the atmosphere.

The meteorites that bombarded and attacked earth was the making of its seas and oceans. The minerals and chemicals that were in the meteorites formed water which helped earth nourish and grow. Because of how thin earth's layer or crust is, molten lava from the earth started spewing out, creating volcanic islands that will cool down overtime and create the 7 continents we know was, Asia, Europe, Oceania, Africa, North America, South America and Antartica.

I knew that the Earth took a long time to form but I didn't know that it took 3 billion years and there was still no complex life, plants or dinosaurs, only huge mounds of clumped, living bacteria which absorbed sunlight and transformed it into glucose, now called photosynthesis. Unbeknownst to anyone, seeing as not even plants were alive, Earth had the incredible power to completely change everything forever.

I discovered the formation of the ocean -- when the meteorites hit the earth, there was a small amount of water in the meteorites, and when they bombed the earth, that water gathered on the ground. The small but still giant mini volcanos that formed on the bottom of the ocean are called hydrothermal vents. The smoke that comes out of the top hole is not actually smoke, it's steaming hot water that is so hot that it warms up the whole landscape and atmosphere around it.

I never knew that the world merged together once as Rodinia and then broke apart by heat into two glacial sides and then, once again, merged together as two colossal walls of ice slammed into each other, once again creating the world into one huge ball, with no cracks or seperations. The ice was so frigid and sturdy that not even the sun or erupting volcanos could destroy the ice.

However, the volcanos that were erupting spewed huge quantities of carbon dioxide, which the rocks would've absorbed, but seeing as they were slathered in ice, there was nothing to absorb the gas and it swarmed the air. It kind of like trapped the sun within the range of the icy world and after fifteen million years, the ice finally began to melt.

I found that earth's temperature was dropping down to freezing limits, but if it was very cold and started heating only at a later date, how would there be any other living organism that could have survived? Because it would've been to hot to hide underground, the ice still breaking through the earth as in saying "the earth was a frozen ball of ice" but if it were to hide above as in animals that had the body features that enabled them to fly, would they have survived that way?

I didn't know that mostly all of the lands formed together and created a massive continent then it just separated into 2 then the world just became very cold and froze up all of the land. Volcanos erupted which caused a massive release of CO2 (carbon dioxide) which the earth didn't have anything to absorb which made the temperatures rise and melted all the ice until the sun came up.

I was kind of horrified by the Siberian eruption and the sulfuric dioxide it released, coating the earth in a deadly chemical which could burn, suffocate and kill everything it touched, except algae. Even worse, it allowed a greenhouse gas called methane, twenty times more dangerous than carbon dioxide to melt and get released into the ocean and atmosphere, pushing temperature higher up. Not only was there no life remaining on earth except algae and a few animals that remained by burrowing and eating absoloutely anything, the temperatures were getting increasingly hot.

Billions of years ago, the small insects and arachnids we see today where much larger like dragon flies the size of eagles and scorpions the size of wolves. This is because there was a lot more oxygen in the air which meant the creatures' respiratory system expanded and their body along with it.

I didn't know that our ancestors used to be something that we thought was a gorilla, except we started as tiny microscopical particles that then started to evolve and form in mammals, the Eda* is one of the first ancestors of us humans, An Eda then evolved into a monkey and gorilla which then completed its evolution into a human.

Its quite scary to think about plethosaurus's if they were alive and the way they evolved into those creatures. Watching Part XI, I noticed at first that tectonic plates were moving the continents above them and every time they would shift, the continent above it would collide with another. Because of its definite collision, it buckled up (like how planks from a wooden floor do) forming a giant hill known as a mountain. Because neither tectonic plate could take over, its only option was to go up since the underneath was the earths core, water and molten lava.

When the apes got up and began walking on two feet, and the footprints they left behind were so similar to our own that the entire thing felt surreal. Then when the time jumps to 40 thousand years ago, the Ice Age begins... The time jumps again, to 14 thousand years ago, when it shows America being formed, the Arctic and Antarctic shaping. Then the last time jump is to present day. Wow... :O

The way the dinosaur (pretty sure it was a carnivore, tyrannosaur rex or a giganantasaurus) but it's death and fall was very anti-climatic but still very interesting how gas from a meteorite can kill large and strong carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.

I thought the pliosaur and the Ichthyosaurus were evidence of how much marine animals have evolved since that time but also how much weaker they got, seeing as the Ichthyosaurus had jaws six times larger and stronger than great white sharks, and in the present, great white sharks are extremely deadly and their jaws are like colossal razors.

To think what would've happened if the asteroid had never hit earth or never exsisted... there would still be immense dinosaurs rampaging everywhere and logically, humans wouldn't have been alive because we evolved from mammals and they wouldn't have been able to thrive if the dinosaurs were still around.

I didn't know that magma and fire just blew up the land and sent ashes everywhere which caused the animals to suffocate and die.. the ashes also created the "acid rain" which burned the animals.
