As the movie proceeds we can see that the other father clearly fears the other mother and acts as a a sort of servant to her. She has full control over him as she does with Wybie. I like to think about how life would be if I was ____ or if ____ had happened. What I have learned over the years and what both movies try to express with the films are that even in what looks to be a beautiful situation, a terror or horror may be hiding. Everything is not what it seems and not to trust everyone. The Beldam manipulated Coraline into thinking the other world was perfect and she could have whatever she wanted. The manipulation was working because Coraline would keep going back. I trusted someone who I thought was my close friend we did so much together. But things started to seem weird when I noticed she was texting my boyfriend and when we would make plans she would always try to make me invite my boyfriend with us. At first, I didn't think too much of it but then people started telling me she was telling people how much she want us to break up. Throughout the whole film Coraline feel like her parents didn't care what she thinks and think that her parents care about work than her. The relationship between the parent and child is very important because the child will have a positive self esteem with the parents and will makes them do anything for them. For example, Coraline learn that the evil mother took away her real parents and went back to the dark world to get them back. This shows that she will do anything to get them back by fixing her mistakes. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are, so we don't need names.” In most movies and shows, black cats are often associated with bad and evil and it’s completely opposite in this one which is really great to watch.He acts as a guide and mentor to Coraline as she navigates her way through the other world especially once she discovers her other mom isn't really who she seems she is. In the real world, he acts like any ordinary cat by playing, hunting,  and even understands humans but replies with gestures and meows. But in the other world, he is shown to have the higher intellectual ability, he can also speak to others.  On their first meeting, the Cat despised Coraline for talking to him rudely. But over time he got attached to her. The Cheshire Cat is sly, tricky, deceitful, manipulative and mischievous. He practices his evil doings just to amuse himself.  The Cheshire Cat has insight into the workings of Wonderland as a whole. Its calm explanation to Alice that to be in Wonderland is to be “mad” reveals a number of points that do not occur to Alice on her own.  Cheshire Cat directs her to The Queen of Hearts for help, but before she goes he warns her of The Queen's evil ways. In Coraline journey she was tricked by the evil parents that this is a perfect world where everything you hope for will come true. In my personal experience I was manipulated by people that I trusted for many years and realize that they are not the people that you expect them to be. Covid was a big change for my daily life and all I had to do is adjust to this new change. It was tough to not see my friends and family for a whole year and basically losing two years of my high school experience.
