The statistics for owning a house back in 2010 was 65.1% which could have been from older generations finally earning enough money to buy a house. This is further backed by the fact that in 2020 the percent rises to only 67.4%. Also the average cost for college from 1980 to 2020 has risen almost by 3 times. The average cost back in 1980 was $17,000, the average cost now is $47,000. The cost for housing has risen by almost 5 times. From an average of $50,000 in 1980 to $250,000 in 2020. but the average minimum wage has only gone up by double the amount back in 1980.
