1. Introduce : This is a painting introducing the samurai character of the Edo period of Japan, this is a symbol of a general showing a heroic spirit, almost the samurai of this period were considered kings, they controlled almost the entire capital, they gained admiration from the people thanks to their famous achievements on the battlefield, they were praised by the people and considered as a saint.

2 .Characteristics : In the Edo period of Japan, a samurai often exuded a superior aura, carried a certain authority, a person of noble status. One of those things was first shown in the face, especially the serious, authoritative, cold eyes, always in a state of alertness and anger. The second was the armor equipped with sturdy pieces of armor that gave the wearer a majestic and large body, increasing confidence and momentum on the battlefield and in the eyes of the people. The next feature was the katana sword that samurai could not live without, showing an overwhelming momentum and was a common close combat weapon in the Edo period. Next was their intelligence enough to lead a region, showing that their thinking was very certain and they were always on guard against any risks that might happen in the future. In addition, the developments during this period were quite good in terms of management and control of soldiers for the samurai. In conclusion, samurai was one of the most noble statuses of the Edo period at that time, along with the katana sword which was considered the most powerful when fighting alongside them. (Another interesting thing is that when they lost, their opponent would take their sword which also meant taking away their honor and vice versa)

I am Nguyen Gia Nhu from class GD2005. This is my sketch and I would to ask you for your comments.

My image is devided into 3 parts which demonstrate the Tang dynasty - the most properous dynasty of China :

The biggest women is Vo Tac Thien ( 武則天) - the only queen who was China history acknowledged. She appeared in Tang dynasty, so I put her into my idea as a special evidence of this period.

The second part is devided into 2 images:

The left one is depicting fabric production and traditional clothes of this dynasty. Fabric production is one of the most significant jobs which boost China economic during this period. ( China's fabric is produced and most of them is handmade. Therefore, when they are export to foreign coutries, China will gain huge economic benefits .)

The right picture is demonstrate ancient learning. Studying and taking exams are studious tradions of China. In this dynasty, especially under the empress Vo Tac Thien, a lot of talents which helps the dynasty more and more powerful .

The last part is a festival scence of Tang dynasty. I want to show that people under this dynasty was very sufficient and happy.

My name is Hoang Hải Yen from class GD2005.

I sincerely apologize for this late response, but before I actually submit my actually work, I want to hear from your opinion.

My character I will draw will be Queen Victoria of Britain. She was born in 1819 and passed away in 1901.

Since the assignment requested that I have to draw 4 expressions of ạ character, I thought it would be a great idea for show them by drawing 4 different time of her life.

The first panel is her childhood life. I want to describe her lonely childhood life through

The second one is her coronation day. The day when she becomes the queen is the whole new change for the country.

The third one is her husband’s death. Though she has a happy family with her beloved, unfortunately the love story won’t be last forever, so I want to show her sorrow expression through this love story.

The final one is her Diamond Jubilee, which is for 60 years of her being a queen at that time. I haven’t thought of how I can show it, but I’ll try my best as soon as I can.

And I might be getting her aged up in each panel because this is her life through time so I’m not sure if that’s available.

Character: Marie Antoinette (Marie Antonia)

Historical Period: The late 18th century, during the French Revolution

Character's Background: Marie Antoinette was the last Queen of France prior to the French Revolution and the establishment of the French First Republic. Born in 1755 as an Austrian archduchess, she married Louis XVI and became queen in 1774. She was known for her lavish spending and the extravagant lifestyle of the royal family.

Reason for Choosing: There are two reasons why I chose this character. First off, I have long been fascinated by French classical fashion. When Marie Antoinette became the Queen of France, she was renowned for her extravagant style, elaborate hairstyles, and luxurious dresses. Her fashion sense broke away from the rigid norms of royal French fashion at the time.

Besides her unique fashion, I am also captivated by her life story. At that time, the French people deeply resented her. While France was in an economic crisis caused by years of war, and the people endured immense hardship, she was seen indulging in lavish parties day and night. This is particularly striking, especially considering that the people didn’t even have bread to eat, yet she allegedly said, "Let them eat cake." Initially, I had a strong dislike for this queen when I first learned about her. However, after watching a film about her life and delving deeper into her story, I came to realise that she was, in fact, a deeply tragic figure. Her extravagant spending on fashion and entertainment was her way of soothing the loneliness and tension from her unhappy marriage.

historical period: the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

The above painting I drew is based on the poet Ho Xuan Huong, she is an outstanding poet in history in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. In 2021, she and Nguyen Dinh Chieu were two Vietnamese poets honored by UNESCO as "world cultural celebrities".

The above painting depicts her four states when writing poetry, sleepy, relaxed, having ideas. I used lotus, bamboo, moon, and flowers as the main background because they were mentioned in her poems. The costumes used were the costumes of the people and intellectuals in that period, they were included in the painting that I completed.

This is my sketch about the scene after the meteor falls down to Earth which makes all the dinosaurs extinct.

Our group decided to make a scenario based on the dinosaur extinction, so each of us would make a before and after the disaster.

I want to use parts of the dinosaurs’ bones to make some jigsaw puzzle that connects parts of their body. Additionally, I want to make a box to shake those pieces and fall down to the bottom, which as you can tell that was all left after the meteor shower.

The scene of the U.S. dropping an atomic bomb on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, is one of the most horrific events in the history of warfare. Here is a description of that moment:

On the morning of August 6, a B-29 aircraft named Enola Gay flew over the skies of Hiroshima. Onboard the aircraft, pilot Paul Tibbets and the crew were preparing for a special mission. At 8:15 AM, the atomic bomb called Little Boy was dropped from an altitude of about 9,500 meters.

Immediately after the bomb dropped, a blinding, intense light erupted, resembling a giant fireball that illuminated the entire city. Then, a massive, powerful, and chaotic explosion occurred, releasing shockwaves and strong winds that swept away everything within a vast radius. Buildings were completely destroyed, and thousands of people were killed instantly.

The sky and the surrounding environment turned bright red. Those who survived, severely wounded, burned, or affected by the shockwave, faced excruciating pain. A large amount of dust and debris scattered everywhere, making the atmosphere suffocating and gloomy. In the following days, radiation caused many fatal diseases, increasing the death toll.

This scene was a global shock, not only for Japan but also for the world, with its long-lasting consequences that continue to affect us today.

Dear Mr.Arsyadi,

I’m Yến Vy from class GD2005, this is my sketch for lap 3. In the previous lap, our team drew about the first moon landing and we had discussed to choose which scene to do individually. I chose to do the scene which is people crafting Apollo 11.

I decided to use cardboard to make the cover of the spacecraft. To express the silver part on the cover better, I will use the medicine bag that I placed next to the sketch in the picture. My plan is to make the spacecraft foldable by using the cover of my toothbrush. It’s like a long little see-through box. And inside, there will be people crafting the system.

There are many small details and I think I will use my cardboard, onetime using black mask, fabric and so on to make the cover of the spacecraft. And maybe I will use some cotton ball to make the clouds or so.

Besides the spacecraft, I think I will use toothpick, sticks or something like those to make the scaffold, which helps people to craft the cover of the spacecraft.

And to make my background paper thicker, I may use cardboard to stick it in the back of the paper.

In the picture above, I have depicted the scene of trucks without windows transporting supplies on a dark road. The road where soldiers transported provisions with windowless trucks in 1945 was an important part of Vietnam's resistance against French colonialism. In 1945, after Japan's surrender, French colonialists returned to invade Vietnam once again. The process of transporting food, weapons, and supplies to the soldiers, especially during the years 1945-1946, was very difficult and dangerous. These windowless trucks were not only a result of scarcity but were also modified from old vehicles. Nevertheless, they still had to set off on the road, transporting provisions and ammunition to support the resistance movement.

Meaning:4 panels of them are drew as your requested with 4 differents emotions for my character. panel 1 mean that Vũ Lê Huy regretted his fault for being careless to his parents after farewelled his parents , with the second panel we can see that Vũ Lê Huy is talking with his fellow (Best friend) when he helping his friend retreat back to the base fro his friend’s safety, third panel does mean Vũ Lê Huy was stunned and shocked the beauty of nature when he first come to the mountain And to the final panel Vũ Lê Huy got heavy injuried to his arm that he had to cut his hands for his safety and he read his parent’s letter that they are still remembering him as well.
