1. What could happen if Clark wasn't shot but instead taken in? Would the protests have even started?
A: He would have been taken into custody, it wouldn't have been publicized and made a big deal. This would most likely have been seen as a honest mistake because of the circumstances surrounding the incident.
2. What would news outlets gain by reporting stories like these? What might some negative effects be for reporting stories like these?
A: They would make money, people may take the reports and make it a bigger deal than the situation actually was. A negative effect stories like these is they could cause paranoia, if stories like these keep getting published it would seem like officers are intentionally targeting minorities.
3. What might happen to officers/ police departments if stories like these are published frequently?
A: They would constantly have a bad rep and be looked at poorly by the public. It could also cause discrimination to all officers even if they had nothing to do with the situation.

In the crucible one major theme is paranoia and injustice, in modern times minorities are paranoid of officers due to news outlets displaying stories of police aggression to them. In America, it's as if being black is like being a witch, like in Salem -- you're accused of things you didn't do, and accusations can ruin your reputation and life. It's as if America is on a constant witch hunt against Black people who are simply trying to live. The Crucible connects to violence against black people in America because of the senseless deaths that occur in both events. In the crucible, people who were simply accused of being witches were sentenced to death, And in America, innocent black people, almost on the daily, are senselessly killed just for being black. Accused witches and black people both facing injustice.

1. Q: How might the rise of awareness of aggression towards minorities by police officers help the issue out?
A: It could make the officers more cautious when handling situations so that nobody gets hurt. It could also prevent further incidents like these so that they don't happen in the future.

2. Q: Why would police officers "mute" their video recordings?

A: One reason could be that the officers were trying to cover up what they were saying to each other and what they were saying to Clark. Another way to look at it is maybe the mics were producing a noise and giving away their location, but only the officers can tell us why.

3. Q: How can police officers open fire at someone without truly knowing or properly checking if they had a deadly weapon? Having a phone or toolbox looks nothing like a gun.

A: The officers could have reacted instinctively when they saw Clark holding something in the dark. It was most likely hard to see what he was holding in the dark, so to protect themselves they had to take an action
