Analyze the video: which parts of the video express instruction effectively and how could the video be improved?

The video incorporates several learning styles, which I thought was very helpful and able to maintain my interest and focus that supported my learning style.

For example, the power point slides utilized visuals, words and a video of the instructor discussing the concepts. This supported the following learning styles,

Visual Learner
Auditory Learner
Reader/Writer

Based on the variants in how the presentation is presented it's an effective way to assist several learning styles to effectively remember the information based on how they maintain and process information.

The details and balance on how each concept was presented was clearly communicated so that it went through each section of how a BIP would be documented.

The video was very effective in its outline of the plan.

It also is a lot of information for the novice practitioner, and may appear overwhelming even for the preferred learning style. It would be great to have a series of videos as a supportive document to go into more details of specific topics.

The pace and balance and information presented overall was a great way to introduce the concepts as a refresher.

What would you have done differently? If you would not change anything, then explain why.

Overall, I would have also verbally presented the information and used visuals. I think that for me specifically, just reading words are hard not as easy to process.

On a personal level, there were many courses in the program that I wished the instructor would present the information, so that it can feel somewhat interactive as I am processing the information.

I believe it is important to work through as many learning styles when presenting information.

So overall, I would not change anything about this video. It is a tool that I actually emailed to my personal job email, to use as a resource for my self and the staff I supervise with these skills.
