Do you think that state mandated testing is a good thing or a bad thing?

I think state mandated testing can be both good and bad. The testing can give us feedback on

where our children stand in their learning. But. At the same time, the tests are based off of a

certain average and every child learns at a different rate than the children next to them and and

they all process subjects cognitively at different pace.

State mandated testing can be a good thing to find out students strengths and weaknesses, but I feel that the state puts too much emphasis on it.

Standardized testing that are state mandated ultimately improve our school systems. Yes they're annoying and seem pointless at times but they are achieving a set goal. Those in charge of the state education curriculum need these scores from our students to assess our states learning progress.

I think that state mandated testing is a good thing. I believe that it

makes sure that schools in each state are learning the same

thing and it also shows what schools need to work on their

academics (i.e. Maybe a certain schools' scores are 10% lower than

all other scores for that state).

If I had a option I would never take a test again or make anyone else take a test. State Mandated Testing

should not be acceptable because it just puts so much pressure on the student to excel and when they fail

it's a discouragment and feeling like they can't do it.
