Reflection- Shadows by Amelia

My inspiration for this was shadows. To carry out this idea I would have to focus on body stance and there is no emotion through the face. I think this is relevant to the topic as a shadow is technically a reflection of ourselves through light shone in darkness.

I think this links to the theme well as shadows are reflections of ourselves using light into darkness. The distress in the charater is the exposure of darkness metaphorically. If I were to do this again, the shadows colour would be more consistent.

This is an additional image that I produced. It is also my final image. The white may signify a “vibe” emanating from the character and white suggesting good and pure.  If i were to do this again the shadow wouldn’t be as blocky and the lines would be cleaner.

To edit these images, I used PicsArt and used the ‘Drama’ filter. I then smudged out the nail in the wall using the facial correcting tool and then to get rid of it further, I used the drawing tool to match the colour with the shade surrounding the nail and then went over it. In addition to this for my second final image, I used white to draw the lines.
