I think that Teen Science Cafe offers to teenagers opportunities to interact with specialists in STEM careers and thus to complete their career choices.
In my school, there will be a workshop of mechatronics and robotics where students will have the opportunity to interact with specialists in the field of higher education and production to better understand the path they have to follow to he gets to work with robots.

It is nice to offer young students the opportunity to meet a group of professionals or specialists from different STEM-related careers. These specialists and professionals can reach more students by visiting schools. Interactive and informal interviews with learners provide a more intimate environment. Teachers and counselors also have the chance to know how the STEM world of careers work. First of all, the title seems unusual and very attractive for students, inducing from the first moment the relaxation and the idea of an informal meeting. I really like the idea of the Teen Science Cafe and I believe we will try to organize them in our school. It's a great way for the students to meet professionals face to face and to ask them all the questions directly. Besides, the atmosphere is more cosy and suitable for a successful conversation then some bigger event like Fair where it can be quite noisy and a bit chaotic. And students can get confused about which speaker to visit first.

As I mentioned before in our school, I invite professionals and the students ask questions to them about their works, their educations..They can learn a lot from them and it is a big chance for them to see different careers from different fields..For example last week have made e-conference with Dr. Bülent KIZILTAN from ABD Harvard university about black holes, artificial intelligence and science..it was very useful for us my students asked their questions to him. The Teen Science Cafè in Malta is really interesting because it allows the kids to orient themselves in future career paths. I feel the experience is much needed today. The students actually exploring STEM with an expert, encouraged to ask questions, think laterally truly helps. This exposure will enable students to connect with STEM and not view it as abstract and complex.
We call experts, in fact we have an event BEAMS [Becoming enthusiastic about Math and Science], we take a theme like 'Megastructures redefined' across the whole school and call people related to the theme to interact with students . This year we called Architects and Mathematicians.
I would love to take it ahead with STEM cafe's.

I find it is interesting that various STEM professionals are invited in the same day to participate in this event. Thus, students have the choice to assign themselves to one or another small group, according to their interest. The variety of scientists makes it possible to present a wide spectrum of professions.

In many Bulgarian schools, similar career days are taking place.

Exploring the experience of the colleagues from Malta I see that pre-discussing of the question with the guest is helpful. I also think that if the parents are invited in this event would be even better.

I find the idea of Teen Science Café is very interesting. In my school I applied special initiatives to bring the students closer to technology and in particular to educational robotics. The next step is to create an event with the help of experts who interest students with a project that I find interesting. The aim of the project is to build drones, measure their efficiency and compare them with the dronesbench measurement index. It will be exciting for pupils who will have to put in practice and / or learn skills and knowledge in mathematics, electronics , computer science, physics. They will learn how to build a drone, test and pilot phase.
