Hi Ms Yong! Since the day I met you in JH1 when you were still in canoeing, I remembered how all my seniors told me that you were the "friendliest" teacher in canoeing. Whenever we were training, we would rejoice whenever we see that you are down for training. It was a pity that you had to leave the CCA. However, I am glad to see that the "friendliness" in you have not faded a single bit. You have always been very patient with us and empathising with us, forgiving us for not doing our homework due to our busy schedules. Whenever we need help and clarification, you would always be glad to provide it to us. You have always held us at high standards, which is why we might be surprised to perform better than we usually do for tests. Outside of math, you would be more than willing to lend us a listening ear whenever we are faced with difficult situations and provide us with the necessary support. Thank you Ms Yong, for going the extra mile to ensure that our well-being is taken care of in school. Happy teachers' day! :D

in class, u always try ur best to give the most understandable explanations and sometimes even for topics u don’t like🤣 (pnc🫢) i’m very grateful to have spent my math journey in ur class :D

Hi Ms yong, happy Teacher’s Day! Thank you for being one of the most caring teachers I have ever had, looking out for us and talking to us when you see us. I was also touched that you wrote letters back to us ( because every other teacher who has made us write letters did not even acknowledge that they have read it, but you went the extra mile and wrote to us back). You have the perfect balance of strictness and fun, and thank you for always holding us to a high standard. This year is the first time I did not minus any presentation marks, because you would keep picking on them 🙏🙏. Thank you for also collecting our work and holding us accountable so that I will actually end up doing it. Jia yous for the future and I will always rmb you. (Pls rmb me too)

Happy Teacher's Day!!! I wanna first start off by apologising for not writing you that letter,, I realised while attempting to write it that I didnt really have much to write about myself and I was pretty much just thanking you for the initiative and your teaching HAHA so i decided to save it for this instead:) Thank you so much for being SUCH a genuine and caring teacher Ms Yong!! (I also think you give off very cool vibes tbh) The amount of effort you put into every lesson to teach us in an organised, clear and creative manner + ensure our work is done has really influenced me to put in more effort to stay on the ball and finish my math tutorials n assignments on time. Thank you for always believing in us and getting us to ponder about our mistakes instead of spoon feeding us, for giving us the hard truths when we need it and for being the most encouraging in times of need especially through your little personal words of encouragement beside my marks (they make me feel so much more assured and optimistic even after doing horrendously HAHAH) So honoured to be apart of your only sh2 class and I promise to do my best so as not to waste your continuous support and care for us:) Thank you for everything!!

Hai Ms Yong:)) HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!! I must emphasise how much I appreciate you being our math teacher, really. Last year when you told me you were not sure who would be my math teacher this year, I got really scared that you wouldn't be teaching us anymore, BUT THANKFULLY, you still did:)) Thanks for always rooting for everyone and always being a very understanding and caring teacher, always trying to get to know us and how you can help us in math and further:) I still remember when you spent some time in class to teach me partial fractions cos i had never heard of it before:""") it was so sweet and made me feel very seen HAHA. though math is really not my strong suit and I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, you've always been encouraging and had faith that everyone can improve:)) Thanks for teaching us not just math, but for teaching us how to be resilient and tenacious! thank you so much for always being there for all of us and for caring for every single individual in the class :D you are rlly rlly on of the most CARING, AMAZING and KIND teachers i have ever met 😭 thank you for always staying back in school till late in the evening to ensure that students who are night studying are well taken care of! and thank you for putting so much time and effort into giving us individualised comments for our work and writing us individualised responses to our letters 💗 we love you so much ms yong! happy teacher’s day and hope you manage to catch a good break during the holidays :)

HAPPY TEACHERS’ DAY!! Thank you for dealing with all my bs and overthinking, omg 😭. I know I can be very emotional and dramatic sometimes, so thank you for being there for me and sticking up for me through it all. I know it’s not easy being a teacher, a year head and at the same time being a safe space for all your students, but Ms Yong, you genuinely manage to pull it off so well. I appreciate all your love and support that you’re more than willing to give, and your knowledge and guidance as well. You’re honestly so amazing, your brain works so fast, it’s so cool 🤩. More importantly, thank you for always caring for your students and doing so much for us, I really appreciate the concern you show for us and how you always go all out for us! Dear Ms Yong, I cannot express how grateful I am to be part of your class in the past 2 years. Apart you being just our math tutor, you have always gone beyond for example through the letter writing which I was very unique and so nice of you. Your lessons have also been so great and when you summarise topics before doing the tutorial, it was really really good. I am also really grateful for all those math group consultations that were out of your own free time to ensure we improve. and it has been such a privilege to have been the maths rep for 2 years in your class. Than you for being such an inspirations and I hope you inspire more generations to come:) THANK YOU:)

Dear Ms Yong,
I still remember the first time you talked to me when i scored horrendously for vectors. It was then that i realised that beyond your seemingly strict, unforgiving demeanour, you genuinely cared for me. I appreciate your attentiveness and all the little things you do to make sure we are okay and important (e.g. personalised letters, telling us that not all is lost during consults).
