We walked all the way to Saturraran. The weather was nice and the temperature was perfect to spend the afternoon outside. When we arrived, we took some photos of the beach and its surroundings. It was very beautiful and relaxing. We picked up marine debris such as rocks and sticks. After choosing our marine debris for this project, we shared our ideas for the artwork; and as it was a very nice day, we decided to stay at the beach. We talked and listened to music for a long time and then went home.

When I arrived home, I started working on the visual thinking and drew what I had done at the beach. 

I think this step has been entertaining and I am looking forward to doing the rest of this project.

After looking at the marine debris I had picked up and looking for some inspiration on the Internet, I decided to make some flowers with the rocks I collected. And for that I need:

I have already chosen the rocks I will be using to form the flowers. I will paint different things on the rocks with the permanent marker and I’ll also decorate the borders of the cardboard with smaller rocks.

I think it is going to look pretty good, because almost all flowers are beautiful. From my point of view, I am mixing land and sea through this piece of art. Flowers are a very common element in land, and rocks, on the other hand, very common on the sea. At least, that is what I am trying to express through this artwork.

First of all, I placed the rocks in the positions I wanted on the cardboard to form four different flowers. I decided to make two big flowers and two smaller flowers.

Once I placed the rocks the way I wanted, I started sticking them one by one into the cardboard. It was a little difficult because the rocks did not stick into the cardboard the first time you put glue on them.

After sticking all of them, I painted different patterns on some of the rocks.

I am very happy with the result, as it turned out just as I imagined it and showed it in the writing and visual thinking of the previous step. I think I have done a good job overall. This project has been pretty fun and it is a different way of learning.

And finally, it was time to go to Zaldupe to present our works to LH 4 students. We had made a poster in groups the previous days with our visual thinkings and pictures. This was a great idea as it was easier for the students to understand. I had a great time explaining my project to the students; it went pretty well. Later, LH 6 students joined, and among them was my sister, to whom I had a very good time explaining my work. They were all quiet while we were explaining and, even though we had to repeat the same thing over and over for the different groups of students,  I had fun. 

All in all, I think this project was a different way of learning not only English, but also about our planet. My favourite part was going to pick up marine debris and presenting our works to Zaldupe students because I had great fun in those steps of the project.
