         <description><![CDATA[<div>There are three options for advocating for young people:<br>- Youth worker advocates for the person when s/he is not capable for doing it due to stress or anxiety. It might be that the issue is a bit complex and the youth worker can handle the information better.<br>- Refer the young person to an advocacy special service when the issue is too complex for a youth worker and might be legal implications that require legal assistance. <br>- Self-advocacy is better for when the issue is not too complex, the young person only needs some encouragement and is capable at dealing with the process on her/his own. This type of intervention reinforces self-esteem, confidence and helps the person to learn skills for similar situations in the future. The youth worker's role is to motivate and guide the young person to have access to their rights.</div>]]></description>
