Putting aside items that are outside of our control as contributing factors, in your opinion, what building-specific reasons are there for our students producing 77.9% Proficient and 68.7% Proficient (7th/8th grade respectively) Literature scores on the 2nd benchmark this year? from year to year?

In your opinion, what building-specific reasons are there for our students producing 66.7% Proficient and 72.9% Proficient (7th and 8th grade respectively) on Informational scores on the 2nd benchmark this year? On Informational scores from year to year?

 In your opinion, what building-specific reasons are there for our students producing 51.1% Basic and 52.6 Basic (7th and 8th grade respectively) Language scores on the 2nd benchmark this year? 

List one way for each area that you can intentionally incorporate direct instruction or regular practice to improve scores without rewriting curriculum- both small tweaks or big ideas are all welcome. :)
