Obstacles students might face:

There are many obstacles the children might face while learning this concept. This concept is very abstract so using simple words and using lots of pictures might help the children better understand the key differences between past and present. Some students might not understand the lesson the first time so using key terms to help them better understand like using the language before they were born, or even before their grown ups were born might help them better understand. This is especially important because they might not understand how dates/years work, that concept might be too complex for them. So scaffolding, using different languages, and showing lots of pictures might help your students better understand the concept. What might help even more is having your students look around the classroom and look outside to better help them what modern day inventions look like.
