Các giới từ thời gian và cách sử dụng

| CÁC GIỚI TỪ THỜI GIAN | CÁCH SỬ DỤNG
| 1.ON | On( vào) được sử dụng trong các trường hợp -Các ngày(thứ) trong tuần: on Sunday/ Monday -Vừa có ngày, vừa có tháng: on 25 April (vào ngày 25 tháng 4) -Vừa ngày, vừa tháng, vừa năm: on 25 April 2021 (vào ngày 25 tháng 4 năm 2021). -Dịp lễ đặc biệt có chữ Day : on Christmas day (vào ngày lễ Giáng Sinh), on birthday (vào ngày sinh nhật).on Tet holiday……
| 2.IN | In ( vào / trong.) In được dùng trong các trường hợp: · Tháng: in June (vào tháng 6), in September… · Năm : in 2021/ In 2022.. · Vừa tháng, vừa năm: In July 1975 (vào tháng 7 năm 1975) · Mùa trong năm: in summer/winter/ spring/ Autumn( fall)( mùa thu) · 3 Buổi chính trong ngày: in the morning / afternoon/ evening – Trừ ban đêm là at night · In + Khoảng thời gian (trong vòng): · in a mintue (trong vòng 1 phút), in 4 weeks (trong vòng 4 tuần)
| 3.AT | At ( lúc, vào lúc). + chỉ giờ: at 7 o’clock, at 12:00 + dùng với các buổi phụ trong ngày: at night/ at midnight/ at noon(giữa trưa), at bedtime/ at lunchtime, at sunset ( lúc hoàng hôn)/ at sunrise( lúc bình minh)…. +Dịp lễ đặc biệt: at Christmas (vào dịp Giáng Sinh), at Easter (vào dịp lễ Phục Sinh).

| 5.AFTER | Giới từ After (sau, sau khi )thời điểm nào đó xảy ra cái gì: · After graduation: Sau khi tốt nghiệp · After 6pm: Sau 6 giờ tối
| 6.BEFORE | Trái với After, Before (trước, trước khi )thời điểm nào đó xảy ra cái gì: · Before dinner: trước bữa ăn tối · 2 months before Christmas: 2 tháng trước lễ Giáng Sinh
| 7. SINCE | Since + một mốc thời gian, since là từ khi: · Since 2010 (kể từ năm 2010) · Since I graduated (từ khi tôi tốt nghiệp)
| 8.FOR | For ( khoảng)+ một khoảng thời gian: · For 5 years (trong vòng 5 năm) · For a long time (trong một thời gian dài)
| 9. TO / UP TO | To / Up to ( cho đến)… Nó được dùng để diễn đạt khoảng thời gian hoặc mốc thời gian cụ thể. Up to now (cho đến tận bây giờ) Up to 16 hours a day (cho đến 16 tiếng 1 ngày)
| 10.TILL / UNTILL | Till / Untill khác với To / Up to – Nó chỉ dùng để diễn tả một mốc thời gian, có nghĩa là: cho đến khi. · Until tomorrow (cho đến ngày mai) · Until 3 o’clock (cho đến 3 giờ)
| 11.FROM……. TO / TILL / UNTILL | From… to / till / untill – Cấu trúc chỉ thời gian khi có 2 mốc thời gian, có nghĩa là: từ… đến… · From Monday to/till/unitl Friday (từ thứ 2 đến thứ 6)
| 12.DURING | During (trong suốt) khoảng thời gian nào đó. · During June (trong suốt tháng 6) · During the holidays (trong suốt kì nghỉ)
| 13.WITHIN | Within diễn tả khoảng thời gian nào đó ngắn hơn so với During. · Within 10 minutes (trong khoảng 10 phút) · Within a day (trong khoảng 1 ngày)
| 14. AGO | Ago ( cách đây bao lâu) dùng diễn tả về quá khứ, điều gì đó đã xảy ra lâu. 5 years ago (cách đây 5 năm)
| 15.BETWEEN | Between được sử dụng giữa hai mốc thời gian khác nhau. Lúc đó cấu trúc sẽ là Between….. and…( giữa 2 khoảng thời gian) · I will go to the party between 6pm and 7pm. (Tôi sẽ đến bữa tiệc vào khoảng giữa 6 giờ tối và 7 giờ tối)

| LƯU Ý Một số từ sau đây không giới từ phía trước : tomorrow, yesterday, today, now, right now, every, last, next, this, that.

ĐỘNG TỪ NGUYÊN MẪU VÀ DANH ĐỘNG TỪ

(INFINITIVE AND GERUND)

I. INFINITIVE

1. To - infinitive (Độngtừ nguyên mẫu có “to”)

* Động từ nguyên mẫu có to có chức năng:

- Chủ ngữ của câu:

Ví dụ: To become a teacher is my dream.

- Bổ ngữ cho chủ ngữ:

Ví dụ: What I like is to play soccer in this school.

- Tân ngữ của động từ

Ví dụ: I want to learn French.

- Tân ngữ của tính từ

Ví dụ: I'm glad to meet you.

*V + to-inf

- Sau các động từ: agree ( đồng ý), appear( xuất hiện), afford( có thể, có đủ điều kiện), ask( hỏi), demand( yêu cầu), expect( mong chờ), hesitate( do dự, ngập ngừng), intend( dự định), invite( mời), want( muốn), wish ( mong ước), hope( hi vọng), promise( hứa ), decide( quyết định), tell( kể, bảo ), refuse( từ chối), learn, fail (thất bại), plan( lên kế hoạch), manage( xoay sở), pretend (giả vờ), remind( nhắc nhở), persuade( thuyết phục), force( ép buộc), order( ra lệnh/ đặt hang), urge (thúc giục), seem( dường như, như thể, tend( trông nom chăm sóc), threaten( đe dọa),...

* Note:

- allow / permit/ advise / recommend + O + to-inf

- allow / permit / advise / recommend + V-ing

- be allowed / permitted + to-inf

2. Infinitive without to (V1): Động từ nguyên mẫu không “to”)

Động từ nguyên mẫu không to được dùng:

- Sau động từ khiếm khuyết: can, will, shall, could, would,...

- Các động từ chỉ tri giác: hear, sound, smell, taste, feel, watch, notice, see, listen, find... + O + V1 (chỉ sự hoàn tất của hành động - nghe hoặc thấy toàn bộ sự việc diễn ra)

Ví dụ: I saw her get off the bus.

- Help + to-inf/ V1 / with N

Ví dụ: He usually helps his sister to do her homework.

He usually helps his sister do her homework.

He usually helps his sister with her homework.

II. GERUND (V-ING): DANH ĐỘNG TỪ

* Danh động từ có thể được dùng làm:

- Chủ ngữ của câu: Swimming is my favourite sport.

- Bổ ngữ của động từ: My hobby is listening to music.

- Tân ngữ của động từ: I like traveling.

* V + V-ing ( Gerund)

- Sau các động từ: enjoy, avoid(tránh), admit( chấp nhận), appreciate (đánh giá cao), mind( quan tâm), finish, practice( thực hành), suggest( đề nghị) , postpone (hoãn lại), consider (xem xét), hate( ghét), admit (thừa nhận), like, love, deny (phủ nhận), detest (ghét cay ghét đắng), keep (tiếp tục), miss (bỏ lỡ), imagine (tưởng tượng), mention( đề cập) , risk( mạo hiểm), delay (trì hoãn),...+ V-ing

- Sau các cụm động từ: cant'help (không thể không),

+can't bear / can't stand (không thể chịu được),

+ be used to/ get used to( quen với việc gì ,

+ look forward to( trông mong, mong chờ),

+ it's no use/it's no good (không có ích lợi gì, vô ích),

+ be busy with ( bận rộn)

+ be worth (đáng giá)

- Sau giới từ; in, on, at, from, to, about...

- Sau các liên từ: after, before, when, while, since,...

- S + spend / waste + sth(time / money) + V-ing

2. Những cách dùng khác của INFINITIVE(to-V) OR GERUND( V-ing)

1. Không thay đổi nghĩa:

- begin / start / continue / like / love + to-inf / V-ing

Ex: It started to rain / raining.

2. Thay đổi nghĩa.

+ remember / forget / regret + V-ing: nhớ / quên / hối tiếc việc đã xảy ra rồi (trong quá khứ)

+ remember / forget / regret + to-inf ( to-V): nhớ / quên / nuối tiếc việc chưa, sắp xảy ra (trong tương lai)

Ví dụ: Don't forget to turn off the light when you go to bed.

I remember meeting you somewhere but I can't know your name.

Remember to send her some flowers because today is her birthday.

+ stop + V-ing: dừng hẳn việc gì đang làm ( Không làm nữa)

Ví dụ: He stopped smoking because it is harmful for his health.

+ stop + to-inf: dừng việc gì để làm việc khác

On the way home, I stopped at the post office to buy a newspaper.

+ try + V-ing: thử ( mang tính chất thử nghiệm)

Ex: I try making a cake .

+ try + to-inf: cố gắng ( làm gì để đạt kết quả)

Ex: I try to do the test well.
