<title>Part 1- Word Reflection	I chose the word believer because Luke always believed that he would be free, even when he friends told him it would never happen. Luke was fearless because he stood up to the guard’s right before he tried to escape. Luke knew he would be severely punished but his freedom was worth it. He was clever when he distracted the guards and found a way to get free. Luke never gave up on his freedom. Luke had a powerful personality because he never doubted himself and was always thinking ahead. I chose the word determined because Luke was determined to do the right thing, but always ended up doing what was wrong. He knew that he should not try to escape, but he tried anyway. He was polite throughout the book even though his friends always blamed him for getting in trouble. In some parts of the book, Luke was sneaky because he would sneak off to different places when he was supposed to be cleaning and doing chores. Luke had lots of memories in the book. He remembered a time when his friend Jen stood up against the Population Police. He remembered how brave she was and how she risked her life for freedom.</title>

<title>Part 2- Book Review	Among the Free, which is written by Margaret Peterson Haddix, is a suspense novel. I chose suspense because the characters’ actions were unpredictable and something was always happening unexpectedly. Also, there were complicated situations which I found shocking! Most of the rising action occurs at the school for 3rd children. For example, Luke had to go with one of the big, scary guards to a place in the forest that no one knew about and Luke figured out that Oscar was still alive and actually trying to hunt him down. The main character in the book was Luke and the supporting characters were Simone, Phillip, and Jenny. Luke was a believable character because when Luke’s friends told him that he wouldn’t make it, Luke always kept trying and didn’t give up. I can see myself in Luke. I have read a similar book like this one. It is actually the book written before this one titled, Among the Enemy. Both of the books were filled with suspense. Something really interesting that happened in the book was Luke’s disguise for trying to free the 3rd children. He was so brave! I would definitely recommend this book to another student because it was very thrilling and filled with adventure. I would give this book “two thumbs up” because it actually held my interest until the very end! </title>
