I think it's vital that we do so in order to gain new perspectives, trust one another, and open up communication without feeling judged. I feel like some of the challenges I face with this is being able to open up fully, letting my guard down, and being myself without feeling judged. For my students to truly invest in school I fell that students need to know that I have a relationship with them and that I know about them. I have also found that building relationships with teammates is so important to the daily function of the classroom. Collaboration is key and classrooms can function better when teams collaborate.
