         <description><![CDATA[<p>I am the executive director at Instituto Veredas, Brazil, and co-director of the Latin American and the Caribbean Evidence Hub (Hub LAC). Also a proud member of the Brazilian Coalition for Evidence, of the World Health’s Organization EVIPNet Global Steering Group and Global Coalition, and of the Council of the Alliance for Living Evidence (Alive). I am engaged in supporting evidence use in public policies in the LAC region, with specific focus in the role of equity in evidence-informed decision-making and in the institutionalization domains of evidence use.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>¡Hola! I’m an emerging tech scientist from Mexico 🇲🇽 with science diplomacy and science communication expertise. Specifically, I studied nanotechnology engineering, a master in cognitive neuroscience, and I’m finishing a PhD in educational innovation. </p><p><br/></p><p>Currently, I’m a STeP fellow at the Science Diplomacy Center at the IAI, an intergovernmental institution that works with 19 governments of the Americas, and I’ve been previously trained by GESDA and UNESCO-PEDECIBA on science diplomacy. Last thing to mention is my scicomm company Ciencia Sí where we provide a latinos in STEM community and Scicomm workshops.</p><p><br/></p><p>Eager to get to know you better!</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I'm passionate about evidence uptake and use in our everyday living. I'm enthusiastic that we could limit research waste in evidence synthesis to a bearable minimum. </p><p><br/></p><p>I will like to network with individuals and organisations that are interested in developing the capacity of evidence knowledge users via unconventional, in-person and innovative methods.          <description><![CDATA[<p>I am a doctor in medicine and a member of <em>ESIC Working Group 2 – Data Sharing and Reusing</em>.</p><p><br></p><p>Currently in my last year of general surgery training at <em>Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein</em>, I am working towards becoming a plastic surgeon. I am also training in robotic surgery and completing a postgraduate degree in healthcare management. My main interests lie in evidence-based medicine, especially in surgical subjects.</p><p><br></p><p>Beyond clinical work, I contribute to scientific publishing as a reviewer for <em>Frontiers</em> and continue to participate in <em>Cochrane</em> reviews as a translator and reviewer. With experience in medical education and healthcare management, I have worked on developing training programs for medical professionals.</p><p><br></p><p>Having lived in France and the USA and being of Italian descent, I value an international perspective in medicine. Through <em>ESIC</em>, I look forward to deepening my engagement in evidence synthesis, expanding my contributions, and connecting with others in the field.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Ana Beatriz Pizarro - Working Group 5 - Capacity Sharing, is an early career nurse scientist from Colombia with expertise in evidence synthesis, knowledge translation, and capacity sharing. She is particularly interested in expanding access to evidence-informed decision-making through interdisciplinary collaboration and global partnerships. Currently, she serves as the Future of Evidence Synthesis Officer at Cochrane, supporting the development of Thematic Groups and Evidence Synthesis Units.</p><p>Ana has published 50+ scientific papers, demonstrating her strong research background in global health, and clinical research. Her experience includes work with the Pan American Health Organization, French Development Agency, and Evidence Aid, as well as leadership roles within Cochrane’s Editorial Board, Consumer Executive, Early Career Professionals Network, mentoring programs, and patient engagement initiatives.</p><p>With a background in clinical research from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Ana brings a unique perspective from a LMIC and is committed to strengthening global evidence ecosystems across sectors, including health, education, and international development.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I am Alma Cristal Hernández Mondragón, and I work at the science-politics interfaces, on both sides, both theory and practice.</p><p><br/></p><p>After a master's degree in neuropharmacology and a PhD in scientific development, I also studied a bachelor's degree in Law. I designed and coordinated the first science-policy interface scholarship program in Latin America. I am part of the Steering Committee of INGSA-LATAM, a member of the Global Young Academy, and co-founder of the Mexican Association for the Advancement of Science (AMEXAC). In the region, I work on the connection between scientists and policymakers, and have shaped national and state policies while training new generations in scientific advisory. I am committed to strengthening evidence-informed policymaking, advocating for international collaboration, particularly in the Global South. Currently, I am a researcher at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) in Mexico in the Department of Research and Multidisciplinary Studies in México.</p><p><br/></p><p>Working in the ESIC Governance Planning Group</p>]]></description>

I work as the Director of Innovation and Equity at the Pan-African Collective for Evidence NPC, and I have experience in developing policy-relevant evidence maps, systematic reviews, rapid reviews, and living synthesis. As a gender and EIDM expert, I have developed frameworks to assess how well evidence integrates gender and equity considerations. I am also the coordinator of the Africa Evidence Youth League, a youth EIDM movement in Africa you would like to learn about.  </p>]]></description>
